BOARD BREAKING WEEK teaches kids concentration, focus, and confidence through the breaking of wooden boards (it's so fun, they won't even notice). Building on the basic martial arts kicks and punches, breaking boards follows a long tradition that allows kids to see their own strength and ability applied to a specific and achievable goal. Parents who join us for the last hour of Dojo Day are invited to break their very own board!

MORE ABOUT CAMP: Focus Mixed Martial Arts Summer Camp is for kids ages 3 to 13, and runs from June 25th through August 31st. Drop-off runs from 8:30am-9:00am, with open mat time for the kids who arrive early. At 9:00am we begin the first of 3 martial arts classes for the day - class varies a bit from week to week as we focus on each week's theme, but every child who attends will have covered the basics of our mixed martial arts curriculum by the end of the week. After the first class we have snack, go to the park for some outdoor play time (on Tuesday and Thursday this includes sprinklers, water guns, and whatever water-appropriate toys the kids bring), followed by lunch. After lunch, the kids have some quiet free time to digest before we begin the second class. After class we have some organized games, then snack, then our third class of the day. Pick-up runs from 2:30-3:00pm, while kids have some quiet cool-down time. On Wednesdays, we go on a field trip, which departs around 10:30am and returns just in time for the start of pick-up. On Fridays we have our dojo day, when we play lots of indoor games, review what we've learned over the week, and then eat pizza and watch a movie before our last class of the week. Parents are invited to come in for the last class so they can see what the kids have worked on over the week.
